Have you ever been friends with someone who doesn’t like waterfalls? If you have, you should probably end the friendship relatively soon.

In Oregon, we are kind of spoiled with at least 238 waterfalls in the state. Near Portland in the Columbia River Gorge is apparently the highest concentration of waterfalls of anywhere in the United States. I don’t know why or how, but I do know we’re pretty lucky. Because of this over saturation of natural wonder, we are also fortunate to have gobs of people from all over the world coming to our little piece of often rainy paradise.

Throughout my life in Oregon, I have toured this state corner to corner. I have been lucky enough to be in places that have stuck in my memory forever combined with the sights, the sounds, the smells, and the feelings. I love this state. It’s home to a diverse set of wildlife and landscapes, and from Portland, you’re 2 hours or less from virtually any sort of environment you wish.

Drive west to the Oregon Coast, east to the mountains and the high desert, south to the valley, and hit up rivers, lakes, streams, trails, bike paths, resort towns, doughnut shops, and whatever else you can imagine!

There are so many things to do in Portland and in Oregon and we love it all. With Multnomah Falls just a short drive (or flight) from us, we have the lucky fortune of seeing it all of the time and we love every minute of it. We hope you’ll join us sometime!
