Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about our flights.

How early and where should I arrive for the flight?

Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled flight to get checked in for your flight. If nobody is at the check-in counter at the time of your arrival, please make yourself comfortable as the pilot is likely out on another tour and will return soon.

All of our Portland flights depart from the Troutdale Airport in Troutdale, Oregon.

Find us at:

1350 NW Perimeter Way, Troutdale, OR 97060

We are capable of carrying a maximum of five (5) passengers plus one pilot* comfortably and safely per flight. This is dependent on aircraft availability.

Tip: If you are a couple and want to have a special flight with just the two of you, please reserve a private flight tour to ensure nobody else will join you.

*Aircraft are generally limited to up to 600 pounds per group of 3 and up to 925 pounds per group of 5. If your group exceeds these weights, please contact us and see what options are available.

Our airplanes are limited on the amount of total passenger weight they can carry (this does not include the weight of the pilot).

  • For our Cessna 182 aircraft, we can take a maximum of 3 passengers and have a limit of 600 pounds for a group of up to 3.
  • In our Cessna 206 aircraft, we can take a maximum of 5 passengers with a limit of 925 pounds for a group of up to 5.

If you have questions about weight limits, please email or text us at 503-967-9622.

While we do our best to ensure aircraft availability, airplane are required to undergo scheduled maintenance every 100 hours. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that the larger Cessna 206 capable of flying groups of 4 or 5 on a single flight will be always available.

In the event that the Cessna 206 is not available, we will complete the reserved flight in two simultaneous or back to back flights.

Unfortunately, we don’t have large enough aircraft at this time to accommodate that demand. But we can always do separate flights so everyone can enjoy a flight! For groups larger than 5 people, please contact us to arrange group flights and events.

There is no age limit to enjoy our tours, however, any passenger(s) under age 18 must be accompanied with a parent/guardian during the entire flight.

Any unaccompanied minors will not be permitted.

Per FAA regulations, a child younger than 2 years old is required to sit in the lap of an adult. We also HIGHLY recommend that you bring ear protection for younger children as our headsets may not fit them very well.

We are constantly checking the weather to ensure the safety of every single flight.

The pilot will make the final call as to whether or not the flight will operate and will be the best judge of conditions. The pilot will only cancel the flight if the weather is deemed to jeopardize the safety of the flight. If your flight is cancelled due to weather, we will reschedule you for a time of your choosing.

You can read more about our Cancellation Policy by clicking here.

When booking with us through our website, we require full payment at the time of booking.

Prices shown are in US Dollars and we accept all major credit cards.

Yes, prior to the flight, everybody will be required to sign a liability waiver. For participants under the age of 18, a parent or guardian is required to sign on their behalf. If you do not wish to sign the waiver, your flight will be cancelled (see cancellation policy).

Waivers are available at the airport at the time of your flight only. If a waiver needs to be signed by a parent/guardian and they are not at the airport, you may scan the QR code and send them the link to the waiver via text message.

Trinity Air, Inc. is our sister company that operates flights as an FAA Part 135 air carrier.

Our pilots are excellent!

Not only are they commercially rated pilots with an amazing safety record, but they also have local experience and great stories. They will fly you around smoothly, answer your questions knowledgeably, and help make your entire experience the absolute best.

We do! We operate year-round (weather permitting) with daily options in the summer and a slightly reduced schedule from November 1 to March 1 on select flights.

Sure do. If you enter code #FLYENVI at checkout*, you will get 5% off your flight! You can also check out our deals page by clicking here!

*Discount codes can not be retroactively applied after a booking is made

We recommend you consider the weather and dress accordingly. If it’s hot outside, it will be warm on the airplane, but will cool off once flying. The airplane has heat, so if it’s cold in the winter, just ask the pilot to adjust the temperature as needed.

At Envi Adventures, we only fly airplanes. On all of our flights, every seat has a window, unlike some helicopters which can have middle seats making a little more challenging to see out. While helicopters are amazing machines, they are very expensive, and we want to make flying around Portland, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest affordable and accessible. Using airplanes makes us the most cost-effective way to see Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, Multnomah Falls, and more.

Per FAA rules and regulations, an adult passenger may carry (free of charge) on his or her lap, one child under 2 years of age. While we do have child size hearing protection, we strongly recommend you brining ear protection for your infant just in case what we provide is not suitable.

Please consult with your physician prior to flying with us to see if it is safe or not to go on a flight.

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets on our flights. For support animals, please contact us.

Only one code type is permitted per transaction and can not be combined with any other deals. Gift card voucher codes can not be combined with other gift card codes, discount codes, or other promotional codes.

Gift card and gift certificate values, and/or promo codes can not be retroactively applied to an existing or already completed reservation.

You’ll notice that before clicking on a specific route link, the pricing will say something like “From $59 per person.”

That is the lowest price available for a flight based on the number of people in the group.
